I occationally use some freshwater pearls in my jewelry. Freshwater pearls occur in mussels as opposed to saltwater pearls that occur in oysters.
I also occationally use some wood beeds in my jewelry. As long as its a natural material I am interested in it. Otherwise I am not.
Most of the metal I design with is sterling silver. Sterling silver contains 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals. It is the standard silver used in jewelry.
Because of it's unique look I often use pewter findings. (bead caps or spacers) The alloy which we use today for all the objects meets all the EEC and USA requirements provided. It is made up of Tin (95%), Antimony (4-5%) and Copper (0.5%). Antimony and Copper should be used in order to give consistency and rigidity to Tin.
I don't use gold. Just because.
I use .30 mm silver colored beading wire, and then my own two little hands!
Feel free to email me with any questions!
